Wecurrently support 65 projects, including 53 differentschools inIndia, transforming the lives of over 69,100 children and361scholars. Healthcare: Healthcare has been a big focus areaforSopra Steria. It has been identified that there are stillmanyareas where people do not have access to quality health care.SopraSteria has taken a step in this direction. Eye camps withfreecataract surgery provision for rural communities and freeDentalCamps for children has been a part of this initiative.Sanitation:In India, Sopra Steria focuses on encouraging Sanitationfor all,inline with the Government’s Clean India Drive and accessto cleandrinking water. Several initiatives related to constructingtoiletsand improving sanitation in rural areas as well as primaryschoolshave been taken to achieve the goal of better and cleanIndia.Sopra Steria’s Aqua Water Tower project is an initiative toprovideclean and drinking water to students. This program ispresentlyoperating in 5 schools. Skill Development: Taking a steptowardswomen empowerment, Sopra Steria has initiated the ProjectKarigari,a vocational training program of stitching and tailoringforunderprivileged women to make them employable. At present,threeKarigari vocational training centers are operated across Noidawithmore than 100 local women enrolled. Community services: AtSopraSteria, our priority is to work for the benefit oftheunderprivileged people from our community and provide them achanceto overcome their struggle. Extension of Relief duringnaturaldisasters, Distribution of Solar Lanterns, Blood DonationCamps,Traffic rules awareness campaign, etc. are some of theprogramscarried out by Sopra Steria to extend support to thelocalcommunity. Environment: In Sopra Steria, we do our bitbyencouraging our employees and customers to say no to plasticbags,switching to paperless technology, recycling of papers toinstill asense that “green is good”. Several environment awarenessand treeplantation drives are also conducted by our volunteers fromtime totime.
